A preview: “POV: Choosing the Right One for Your Story”
Beyond choosing to tell your story in first person or third person is deciding WHO the point of view character, or characters, should be. One POV character may not be enough if they are not present at some crucial action or do not have knowledge necessary for the reader to understand the stakes or background of the story. While “unreliable narrators” and characters who bumble their way through are certainly a thing, the writer has to make conscious decisions in order to carry those techniques through to a reader-satisfying ending. This presentation on January 17 will help you make those decisions.
